Return to Tolerances & Options
In addition to achieving a certain length and width tolerance, shearing is used to make a sheet square. Checked for by measuring the distance between diagonally opposing corners, the amount a sheet is "out of square" is determined by calculating half the difference of the measurements. Squareness is achieved by trimming the sides or ends or both.
The following tolerances are achievable for re-squared sheets. For the tightest tolerances possible, specify Diamond Superior.
